William Carr, Chair of the Council's Ratification Review Commmittee, informed the the PR that the committee learned that some Chapter's are distributing the 2004 Standards to their members. The section of the Standards related to Pastoral Counselors is seriously flawed, because of inadvertent omissions.

The Council's Ratification Review Commmittee has issued the following advisory:

ADVISORY TO ALL CPSP CONVENERS AND MEMBERS: Because of unintended omissions in the printing of the 2004 CPSP Standards, "Section 500 - Standards for Pastoral Counselors" are not valid as printed and posted. The Standards are being updated and will be posted soon on the CPSP web site.
